Shut up and listen
Many years ago I walked into a record shop, and asked the guy if he’d recommend something to me. He handed me Brad Mehldau‘s Elegiac Cycle. I went home, put it in the cd player, and shut up. And, coming to think of it, that’s what I like best about it. It made me shut the fuck up. Besides everything about it that I can’t explain. I should find it again.
