Oh you old country.

With your thin layers of snow, or thick, and your sharp rocks chewing on the rubber under my shoes.

Your light making the contours in your landscapes dance with life, lust.

You saying: “Come, be with me!”

Me replying, barely audible: “Sorry, I want to but I can’t, you frighten me.”
